Super Junior member Lee Teuk has been released from his mandatory military service, after enlisting in the army in October 2012.

Despite around 1,000 fans showing up and waiting outside the base in Gangwon Province to greet and welcome him back, Lee did not turn his discharge into a media spectacle. Rather he made a very quiet and low-key departure.

“We did not hold any kind of interview or fan event in light of his discharge,” said a statement made by SM Entertainment. “It was Lee Teuk’s wish to have a quiet discharge and we wanted to respect his request.”

Lee is expected to return to the limelight in full swing for the first time since he enlisted in the army. Super Junior will be kicking off the “Super Show 6” world tour with two concerts in Seoul at Auxiliary Stadium at Jamsil Sports Complex on Sept. 20 and 21. The tour will also take the boys across Asia to perform in Japan, China, Thailand and more.
