LIG Nex1, the third-largest defense company in South Korea by market cap, has showcased its tactical assets ranging from guided missiles to radars and robots at the biannual Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition 2017, which started Tuesday.

LIG Nex1 presented outdoors the low-cost 2.75-inch guided rocket Logir, or “Bigung” in Korean, for which the firm embarked on a mass production project in January, as well as anti-artillery radars, one of which LIG Nex1 completed an upgrade for in August.

Along with brand new arms, LIG Nex1 displayed at its 640-square-meter indoor booth over 30 weapons, including the flagship fire-and-forget KM-SAM, a medium-range surface-to-air missile also known as Cheolmae-2 or Cheongung, the homegrown air-launched Korea GPS Guided Bomb, as well as an unmanned synthetic aperture radar and wearable robot exoskeleton.

ADEX 2017 opened Tuesday and runs through Sunday at Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, some 20 kilometers southeast of Seoul. Nearly 400 business entities from 33 nations have reportedly attended the exhibition, which is open to traders from Tuesday to Friday and to the public from Saturday to Sunday.

Following ADEX 2017, LIG Nex1 will also exhibit weapons mounted on ships and submarines at the International Maritime Defense Industry Exhibition in Busan from Oct. 24-27.
