Sejong arts center appoints new CEO

Lee, 53, began his three-year term on Thursday with a goal to make the arts center an accessible and friendly place for Seoul citizens.

“I will promote the brand value of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts so that it can be the representative place for arts in Korea,” said Lee in the press release. “The arts center will become a multi-arts place where citizens can take pride.”

Lee, known as a veteran in the field of art management, has served as director of Hi Seoul Festival, the signature cultural festival of the capital city and chairman of the Korean Association of Arts Management.
